Spanish &
Culture
A relatively isolated country tucked between the
towering Andes to the east and the majestic Pacific
to the west, Chile has developed its own unique
culture. Our Spanish & Culture program helps you
discover Chilean history, cuisine, art and, of course,
language.
This
program includes the following:
20 hours of group Spanish instruction (maximum 4
students per group)
Two 2-hour lectures on Chilean history, cuisine
and art
Four excursions to help introduce you to Chilean
culture (Museo Artes Visuales, Palacio Cousiño
and Casa Colorada, just to name a few)
Two meals at local restaurants specializing in Chilean
cuisine
Spanish &
Skiing
Come and enjoy not only our world-class Spanish
courses, but also Chile's world-class skiing! It's
the perfect way to escape the heat of the summer
up north (Chile's ski season runs from June-September)
while perfecting your Spanish down south. And since
the ski trips are on the weekends, you'll still
have plenty of time during the week to get to know
Santiago and its environs.
This
program includes the following:
20 hours of group Spanish instruction (maximum 4
students per group)
Saturday and Sunday day trips to various ski resorts
in the Santiago area
Ski-lift tickets and day passes for each day of
skiing (equipment rental and ski lessons available
for an extra charge) Note: this program is available
from June to September.

Spanish
& TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)
Want to spend more than just a few weeks abroad?
Working as an English teacher is a great way to
finance a trip overseas and to really become a part
of the local community. With our Spanish & TEFL
program in Santiago, you’ll spend from one
week to one month learning Spanish and then a month
training to teach English. At the end of the program,
you’ll have improved your Spanish, become
a certified English teacher, and be able to live,
work, and fully experience the culture of Chile!
Spanish
& Volunteer
Learn Spanish, get to know the culture, and make
a difference in the local community with our Spanish
& Volunteer program. You’ll study Spanish
in our group classes (20 hours per week) and after
class you’ll volunteer with our local partner
organization in Santiago. As a volunteer, you can
teach English to children, work with infants at
an orphanage, or build houses for families in need.
Volunteering
is a great way to practice your Spanish and get
to know the community unique and meaningful way.
This program is offered through Volunteer
Adventures, a BridgeAbroad sister organization.
