We offer language courses to meet the needs, expectations,
and budgets of each of our students. You can choose group instruction, private
instruction, or a combination course.
Group Classes
Group
20 class hours per week
The Group Course offers language learning in small, dynamic groups
for four hours per day. The maximum number of students in group classes
varies by school, but averages 4-10. Each of our schools does a great
job of fine-tuning the formation of group classes according to the
level ofthe students.
Group Plus
30 class hours per week
The Group+ Course is four hours per day of the Group Course plus two
hours per day of private lessons. This popular program gives students
the best of both worlds: the interaction of a group class with the
focus and efficiency of a private class.
*Note: In some locations, class hours may be reduced for groups with three or fewer students.
Private Classes
Private 4
20 class hours per week
Private lessons are a very effective way to learn a foreign language. The
one-on-one approach allows you to learn at your own pace as well as
focus on your individual needs in the language. In a private class,
you can concentrate on certain grammar points or on specific vocabulary
that you may need. Private 4 consists of four hours per day of private
lessons.
Private 6
30 class hours per week
The Private 6 Course takes the same approach as Private 4, but increases
class time to six hours per day of private lessons.
Language Immersion
40 class hours per week
Bridge Abroad's Language Immersion Program is the most intensive and effective course we offer. It
features eight hours per day of private lessons, including lunch
with an instructor in many locations. For years, Language Immersion has been
our most popular program with executives and professionals who want
to learn a lot in a short period of time. With Language Immersion,
you can supercharge your language training, learning in weeks what
would normally take a year or more.
*Note: A lesson or “class hour”
varies from 45-60 minutes, depending on location. Please see our Price
page for detailed information on the length of a class hour for
each school.
Additional Course
Options
Live & Learn
10-15 hours per week (available in select locations)
This program is effective and enjoyable! For 2-3 hours per day (depending on location) in addition to your Group or Private Course, you will visit local points of interest, accompanied by your own private instructor, and practice your new language outside the classroom. Whether it’s ordering a meal, buying tickets to a show, or asking about an animal in the zoo, this is a fun and practical application of language learning that will really make you feel like part of the community!
Combine Cities
Want to study abroad, but can't decide on only one location? Now you
don't have to! Another exciting program option is to start your course
in one city and continue it in another, making the most of your trip
abroad. For example, you could start by taking two weeks of Spanish
in Santiago, Chile, followed by another two weeks in Buenos Aires,
Argentina. This option would allow you to enjoy the natural wonders
of Chile and then experience the unique culture of Argentina. By spending
time in more than one city, you get to know the sites, people, and
cultures of different locations.
Special Courses
In addition to our standard language courses, we also offer Special
Courses in areas of interest such as health care, business, law, dance,
cooking, sports, exam preparation, and more. Special Courses are taught
in the target language with two goals in mind: to improve your language
ability and to help you learn more about your particular area of interest.
