"I had a fantastic time in Nice!! I met great people, the teachers were phenomenal, and my grasp of the French language improved drastically. Everyone was great! I loved my host family! I hope to stay in touch with them in the future and any student that gets to stay with them is extremely lucky. The location was very central and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. I learned and laughed a lot. The teachers made learning fun and really challenged me to speak better French." Future Advice: "First of all, I would say definitely do it. However, they also need to be prepared to live in a different country and culture and understand that it's not going to be easy to learn a new language. You need to give it time and realize that you're going to have bad days, as well as, good."

"I had a wonderful time studying French in Nice, and the entire experience really exceeded my expectations. The courses were challenging and effectively taught, and I was amazed at how much I learned in only weeks. The school organized many interesting excursions and opportunities for socializing in the evenings, and I made new friends from all over the world. Highly recommended to anyone! The apartment was centrally located and only a five-minute walk to the school. It was surprisingly spacious and clean. I thought that the school was excellent, with great facilities and a very dedicated and friendly staff. My teacher was excellent, the class size small, and I really felt that I got a lot of individualized attention. There was a lot of camaraderie between the students, due to the afternoon and evening activities that were planned by the school."
Future Advice: "Do it! Just go in with an open mind and a willingness to try new things."

"The language instructors, the host family, and the location were great! I only spent a month in country; however, due to the homestay option I was able to truly immerse myself in the language. The people at the school were very friendly and really made excellent attempts at providing activities to foster friendships and cultural immersion." Future Advice: "Sign up as early as possible if you want to get a good homestay option. The school determines the location by the date that you sign up. Thus, the best locations go early."

Christine Tierney
"I don't think I could have had a better host. Danielle was fun and helped us learn French. My room was comfortable and the location was perfect for seeing the city, being near the water, and certainly for walking to school and taking the train, which we did a lot of, even on our own. The after school activities were the best!"
Future Advice: DO IT NOW! I can't wait to be able to retire and do it for six months at a time."

"My host family was amazing - patient with my language skills, fun to be around, and the food was awesome. The school was also great - friendly instructors, fun classrooms and the other students became good friends. If you're in doubt about learning French in Nice, don't be. You're gonna love it!"

"The French program in Nice was GREAT!!!!!! I could not have been happier about the city, culture, the people, the accommodation, and the great school. Both the director and the professors were of great help. I loved the whole immersion experience. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat. It is a great place for beginners to experience the French language. The excursions where also great and they gave us the opportunity to experience all of the Cote d'azur or French Riviera. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I will also gladly go back with a program like this!"

"Excellent teachers and great class sizes. My host family was a good distance from the school and my host mother was great. The three best aspects of this program were meeting people from around the world, attempting to speak French, and the location of the school."

"I had such a wonderful experience while doing my language abroad program. I was in Nice for four weeks and stayed with the most wonderful host family. I also did some traveling after my program ended and just had the best time. Thank you for having such a great program which allowed me a wonderful introduction to the culture of France and all the new friends I made."

"The experience of living in a foreign country and meeting other international students is absolutely amazing. It is truly a great experience even if you do not need to learn the language. I chose this program for an extended vacation even though I knew close to nothing of the language. It was so nice to meet so many other students. My roommates were mostly Europeans."

Seana Toomey
"My professor was great - very knowledgeable, patient, and fun. My class size was about 12 people - we had a great time together. I learned a lot about the culture and other aspects of French life that wasn't taught in my high school/college."
