Berlin |

The city of Berlin always takes visitors by surprise. Besides
its world-changing history, immense collection of art, and legendary
nightlife, Berlin also offers the unique opportunity to be a
part of an active, modern capital that has changed from two
cities into one. Both old East and West Berlin have numerous
cultural hot spots, international artistic treasures, and architectural
wonders. The enormous size of the city allows for days of exploring
the famous streets, as well as the chance to find secluded parks
and forests in which to relax or revel in the natural beauty
of Germany.
Most visitors find themselves spending time in the Mitte, the
middle of Berlin, where old and new mix in an array of charming
cafés, bars, theatres, museums, and shops. The bars in
Berlin are famous for bratwurst and beer, as the food is typically
heavy and mealtimes relaxing. Although bustling in the daytime,
nighttime in Berlin is even livelier, with a club scene that
starts late at night and ends early in the morning. But most
of all, visitors to Berlin will find a population of people
who are unmistakably open about their history, have great national
pride, and warmly welcome visitors.

Leipzig
This university town is the second-largest city in eastern Germany. The hip underground student scene breathes life and vitality into this historic city. Another source of pride and energy stems from the famous artists who once called Leipzig home. The city is the former dwelling of Johann Sebastian Bach, Ricard Wagner, and poets Goethe and Schiller. Leipzig also boasts numerous museums like the Bildenden Künste Museum, and the Museum für Kunsthanderwerk and of course, the Thomaskirche, where Martin Luther once preached, and where Bach was choirmaster. These incredible daytime sites are perfectly paired with the intense alternative night scene, as Leipzig is home to Moritzbasei, Europe's largest student club. |

Rostock
This coastal town in northern Germany is the biggest port of former East Germany. As one of the largest shipbuilders in Germany, Rostock is also home to Hase sail, the world-famous yacht race held in August. It is also known for its unspoiled coastline and seaside resorts. Rostok's charm lies in its old, fishing-town appeal on the shoreline contrasted with the rebuilt modern Old Town in the middle of the city. |

Kriti Gurung, 18

|
| "Learning German in Germany is definitely one of the best thing I‘ve done. Although one week isn‘t enough time to master the language, I feel I‘ve learnt so much. I‘ve thoroughly enjoyed the course and found that everyone was very friendly and helpful." |
Sesame Mish, 23

|
| "I enjoyed my time spent in Berlin. My class was not only informative, but it was also a lot of fun. I looked forward to attending class every day. My teacher was very energetic and used innovative ways of teaching in order to make learning a difficult language more interesting. After my time at the school in Berlin, I feel much more confident in my speaking capabilities. I am no longer hesitant to express myself in German. I am happy to say I learned a lot!" |
Iain McCol, 31
Great Britain |
|
| "I found the course very useful, even though I was only here for one week. I particularly enjoyed the conversation parts of the course. It was very useful to be able to use the internet in the breaks, as this gave me the opportunity to keep up-to-date with my emails! I also appreciated the different German magazines that were available to read." |
Michael Wall, 34
Ireland |
|
| "I would like to say that the teachers are very professional and patient with the students. I have just been there for 2 weeks, but have found that I have learned more in that time than on the courses I have in Dublin. The apartment is very clean and well filled out for the students, and also very spacious. Only having 4 to 5 students in the class was very good because everyone gets to join in and practice what they have learned! Overall it has been a great experience; I am already looking to return next year." |
Margaret-Ann Balfour, 28

|
| "I have studied in several different language schools in Spain and Germany. This was one of the friendliest schools I have been to. The classes were all in German so I learned a lot more. The teachers also seemed keener to teach than teachers I have met previously. They made you want to learn. Excursions were also well planned, but the school is in the centre of Berlin anyway so you can also easily visit the city on your own or with classmates after class." |
