Visit the State Museum Preserve Kolomenskoe—the
summer country residence of Russian Tsars Basil

can also sample “bliny,” small pancakes
served with various fillings.
Kremlin
The Kremlin is Russia's mythic refuge, a self-contained
city with a multitude of palaces, armories, and
churches, and a medieval fortress that links the
modern nation to its legendary past.

Metro Tour
The Moscow Metro is a work of art, an amazing achievement
in engineering and a monument to human endeavor.
This tour is dedicated to the 70th anniversary in
2005. Built with the finest marble, wood, copper
and bronze, brought from all over the Soviet Union,
the subway system displays massive chandeliers and
high arched ceilings supported on marble columns.
Rich mosaics and sculptures depict great moments
of Russian and Soviet history.
Novodevichiy
Convent
Novodevichiy Convent is famous for its serene beauty
and for the historical events that took place on
its grounds. You can also visit Smolensky Cathedral
(the most significant building of Novodevichiy),
Prokhorov's Chapel, and the graves of Denis Davydov
and other Decembrists (Russian revolutionaries.)
Tsaritsyno
Park
Formerly the residence of Catherine the Great, Tsaritsino
is situated in the southern suburb of Moscow and
is home to the biggest reserve-museum in Moscow,
as well as many 18th-century palaces and pavilions.
The
Tretyakov Gallery
The State Tretyakov Gallery is a national treasure
of Russian fine art and one of the greatest museums
in the world. It is located in one of the oldest
areas of Moscow, Zamoskvorechye, not far from the
Kremlin. Here you will be able to absorb amazing
art from centuries past.
Old
Arbat
Here you can stroll down cobbled Vozdvizhenka Street
and stock up on your souvenirs. You will also visit
the House of Friendship, the Boulevard Ring, and
Arbatskaya Square--all historic sites around Moscow.
