who simply want a highly advanced language class
with an academic emphasis. The course gives you
the proper tools to participate successfully in
an academic environment.
The skills

Teachers
of Spanish as a Foreign Language
These are 2-week "refresher" courses for
practicing Spanish teachers. The teacher trainers
have designed this highly practical program based
on the substantial teaching experience acquired
over the school's 30-year history. To enroll, you
may be a native or non-native speaker, but must
be a current teacher of Spanish.
The course
typically covers such topics as using role plays,
ice breakers, pair work, games, music, poetry, radio
and television in the classroom; exploration of
written texts; and tests and evaluations. You will
also learn about useful vocabulary-building techniques,
homework and projects outside the classroom, and
advanced language work for non-native speakers.
For native speakers, there is a special emphasis
on using cultural heritage as a teaching tool. The
school requests that prior to enrollment, you provide
them with your personal interests and objectives
so that they may adapt the curriculum to your particular
needs.
