Located on the gorgeous "Costa del Sol" on the Mediterranean

destination in Spain. The city sparkles with activity and is
known for its popular seafood restaurants, cocktail bars, shopping
opportunities, and easy access to the long stretches of lovely
beaches on the Mediterranean.
Away from the popular tourist strips, Marbella’s old city
retains traditional Spanish charm with classic whitewashed buildings,
quaint cafés, and stunning views of the nearby Rhonda
Mountains. Whether you prefer the glitz and the glam, the sun
and the fun, or the old-world allure, Marbella offers what you
want: the chance to learn Spanish while enjoying the culture

The Spanish language school is located in downtown Marbella, just a five-minute
walk from the Maritime Promenade and some of the best beaches
in town. It sits on the central terrace of the "Edificio
Granada" above a well-known fashion department store. This
area is central to a main bus route, so traveling to and from
the school is extremely convenient.
Within the Spanish school, there are 11 air-conditioned classrooms and
four outdoor classrooms. All classrooms have natural light from
the school's terrace, which creates a pleasant atmosphere for
learning. During down time, Spanish students can relax and study on the
large outdoor terrace or in the comfortable common room. Students
also have access to the library and computer lab with free internet.

Activities and Excursions |
|
| |
|
| |
| |
Cultural activities and local excursions play an important role
in any immersion program. Therefore, the school in Marbella
arranges plenty of opportunities that allow students to not
only improve their Spanish, but also to learn about the culture
and bond with other students.
Activities
Activities take place in the afternoon or evening and include
sports, outdoor adventures and tours of the city’s culturally
significant sites. Students can also take dance lessons, or
participate in Culture Club—a group class that focuses
on history, literature, and other aspects of Spanish culture.
In addition to school-sponsored activities, Marbella offers
endless opportunities for recreation and leisure. The city is
famous for its fabulous golf courses and beaches, but also offers
horseback riding, swimming, tennis, shopping and much more.
You will never have a problem finding activities—only
deciding which ones to do!
Excursions
In addition to weekday activities, the school also organizes
full-day and weekend excursions. Some of these trips are described
below.
 |
 |
Málaga
Perfectly located between the mountains and the
sea about 30 miles (48 km) from Marbella, Málaga
is a paradise on Spain’s sunny Costa del Sol.
The city’s mild weather, multitude of golf
courses, tasty seafood dishes, and relatively cheap
flights from the rest of Spain make Málaga
a popular choice for tourists. |
|
 |
 |
 |
Granada
Granada is a city with a fascinating history. It
was founded by prehistoric native tribes, invaded
by Arabs (to whom it owes its name), and was the
last Muslim city to fall to the Christians in 1492.
One of Spain’s most brilliant jewels of architecture
is Granada’s Alhambra, a series of palaces,
gardens and fountains built in the 14th century. |
| The setting
of this mighty compound is no less impressive—it
stands at the foot of Spain's highest mountain range,
the Sierra Nevada, overlooking the city and plains
below. |
|
 |
 |
 |
Sevilla
The capital of Andalusia, Sevilla is considered
to be one of the most beautiful, traditional, and
historic cities in all of Spain. It is home to the
Cathedral (one of Christianity’s largest),
La Giralda (an ancient bell tower) and the Moorish
Alcázar Palace. For all its important monuments
and fascinating history, Sevilla is probably most
famous for its character—festive, romantic,
colorful, and lively. |
| The classically
Spanish traditions of flamenco dancing and bullfighting
have no better home than sunny Sevilla. |
|
 |
 |
 |
Puerto
Banus
Located just west of Marbella, Puerto Banus is the
most emblematic port on the Costa del Sol. The port
was inaugurated in 1970 and is now home to some
of the most impressive yachts in the world. With
a wide array of expensive bars, upscale restaurants
and designer shops, Puerto Banus acts as a magnet
for tourists from across the globe. |
|
 |
 |
 |
Ojen
Ojen is a small whitewashed mountain village located
about 8 miles (14 kilometers) north of Marbella.
Ojen has a beautiful view of both Marbella's coast
and Gibraltar. It is also well-known for its wine
museum. |
|
 |
 |
 |
Córdoba
Once the largest city in Roman Spain, Córdoba
later formed the heart of the western Islamic empire.
Today, it is a typical bustling, noisy Andalusian
city, with winding narrow streets, fascinating sights,
and tons of atmosphere. Places to visit are the
Great Mosque, one of the most popular monuments
in the region; the city walls that once bounded
the old Jewish quarter; and the Alcázar,
a castle with walled gardens, beautiful water terraces
and fountains. |
|
 |
 |
 |
Cádiz
Cádiz stands on a peninsula jutting out into
the Bay of Cádiz, and is almost entirely
surrounded by water. It is famous for its beautiful
beaches and picturesque appearance, thanks mostly
to the 18th-century walls that still stand around
the city. Historically speaking, this university
town has held its own—during Napoleon’s
siege of Europe, Cádiz was one of the few
locations that resisted the French invasion. |
