little rain. Summertime in Salamanca can get very warm,
and late April to late September the temperature in Salamanca
can reach 104°F (40°C), but the average is 95°F
(35°C). For cooler temperatures, spring and autumn
are good times to visit Salamanca. The weather is generally
warm and sunny with the average daytime temperature between
77°F and 86°F (25°C and 30°C). Winter,
from November to early March, can be chilly (45°F/7°FC),
but rarely freezing. |

Students come from around the globe to study Spanish at the Spanish language school in Salamanca, which is located in the heart of the old city center, just a five-minute walk from the magnificent Plaza Mayor. It features 12 air-conditioned classrooms that have been specifically adapted for teaching Spanish in a small-group atmosphere, as well as a library and video room.
There are rarely more than 50 students at the Spanish school at any time, and a maximum of eight students per class, so you will consistently receive personalized attention from the staff and teachers, and learn to speak Spanish in an intimate environment.

The Art Deco Museum is housed inside the Casa Lis,
a modernist mansion built by Joaquin Vargas at the
beginning of the 20th century. You’ll be humbled
by the building itself—an iron structure intricately
designed with stained-glass windows and ornate floral
patterns, not to mention the museum which houses
a world-class collection of art. |

Cathedral
This building exemplifies Plateresque style—a Moorish-influenced
combination of Gothic and Renaissance architecture
that has historically been a Spanish tradition.
The new and old cathedrals exist side by side, meeting

by bus from Salamanca, in the heart of the Castillian
plain. Madrid is quite the cosmopolitan city and

headquarters for the Spanish government and the
home of the Spanish royal family, and plays a major
role in both the banking and industrial sectors.

Repaso" for Spanish teachers. This course supports

DELE
Preparation
The DELE (Diploma de Espanol como Lengua Extranjera)
is the only certificate for non-native speakers
recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education,
Culture and Sport. This diploma is of great international
value for those who plan to attend a Spanish university
or work in a Spanish-speaking environment. |
| The school
offers DELE preparation courses for the Certificado
Inicial (CIE) and Diploma Básico (DBE). The
location and time of these courses are synchronized
with the exam dates set by the Ministry of Education,
Culture and Sport (usually in May and September).
Preparation is given by highly-qualified teachers
in a relaxed and friendly environment, and the school
boasts a high success rate for passing the exam. |
